Matias is the founder and CEO of Fanatiz, a rapid growth venture-backed streaming platform that connects sports fans with the leagues they love. Fanatiz distributes a global portfolio of live sports properties and channels to clients in over 70 countries, working with many of the world’s leading soccer leagues and key industry players including Disney, Turner, beIN SPORTS, Gol TV and Golf Channel, among others. Matias is also one of the co-founders and board members of Global Sports Rights Management (GSRM), a company pioneering highly innovative, wholistic approaches to sports rights management, marketing and distribution, and a board member of Nunchee, a white label SaaS OTT product for sports organizations and media companies. In addition to his ongoing work at the helm of Fanatiz, Matias is a seasoned entrepreneur, having helped launch four other successful organizations: Start-Up Chile, Reforestemos Foundation, Jump Chile and Healyx Labs. He earned an Industrial & Computer Science Engineering degree in 2010 from Chile’s Catholic University, holds an MBA from Stanford University, where he was recognized with the 2016 Miller Social Change Leadership Award, and has studied at both Harvard University and Singularity University. Besides his day to day work at Fanatiz, Rivera is actively involved in non-profit and social impact activities, serving as Chairman of Reforestemos Foundation, the boards of Patagonia Sur and Fundación Lealtad Chile, and as a member of the Chilean Board of Trustees of The Nature Conservancy. He is also a member of Millenium Leaders ML50 (www.g-50.org), a select group of outstanding Latin American professionals under the age of 40.
